How does the type of wood a guitar is made out of affect the sound of it? - strat wood
Looking at getting my first guitar, I would definitely Fender Start, but can not decide whether they will receive a regular mahogany. What is the difference.

Hello! Despite the (possibly) strings and trucks, the largest contributor, the type of wood is certainly a great influence on the tone and sustain. Also, the thickness and type of wood finish will have a role in how the body and neck have resonance that the overall sound of the instrument. As a rule, lighter woods such as maple density of the resonance of the body and provides improved support, but a heavy wood such as mahogany is sometimes desirable for a warmer tone, stronger.
