Let stand overnight, scrub, then rinse. You can also try hydrogen peroxide on the stain, or a weak bleach solution ...

The yellow stain on the floor is probably due to changing the gum on the carpet to the finish on the floor. It may not be able to remove without stripping the wax and covered with soil stain. Before such a drastic attempt to make a paste of baking soda with baking soda and water, and there on the spot. Let stand overnight, scrub, then rinse. You can also try hydrogen peroxide on the stain, or a solution of low water.
